OpenPath is a public crowdsourced reachability network. Volunteers around the world run approved probes; OpenPath administrators decide which services are tested. The results are aggregated by country and network, and published with the confidence they deserve — never more.

A probe measures from where it is. One probe cannot tell you whether a service is down or whether one machine is — which is why this only works with volunteers in many places and on many networks.
